The HCG Diet Protocol for Vegans (500 calories)

If you are a Vegan or Vegetarian, you can still do the HCG diet and have success. Only a few things are needed to be modified to substitue other proteins for meats. Below is an outline of the modified protocol.
Breakfast:
You can have tea in any quantity with Steveia or Truvia. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed within a 24 hour period.
Lunch:
Choose one item from each:
1) 28 grams raw brown rice protein powder, 16-ounce glass of skim milk or 3.5 ounces of fat-free cottage cheese.
2) One choice of vegetable chosen from the following: celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes.
3) One choice of fruit from the following: One apple, One orange, a handful of strawberries or one-half of a grapefruit.
Dinner:
The same four choices as lunch
Snacks:
Your fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner, but not more than then four items listed for lunch and dinner may be eaten at one meal.
Additional Information:
The juice of one lemon per day is allowed for all purposes. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks that you can have, however they may be taken in any quantity at any time throughout the day.
Drink a lot of water! (about 2 liters of these fluids per day is recommended). Many people are afraid to drink so much because they are afraid of water retention, when in fact the opposite is true.  The body is more inclined to store water when the intake falls below its normal requirements.
